Mi Casa es Tu Casa 2026
Paths of Memory — Caminos de Recuerdo invites artists, participants, and visitors to reflect on the journeys that connect us to those who came before us. Rooted in the traditions of Día de los Muertos, this year’s exhibition honors the enduring presence of our ancestors, loved ones, and cultural memory through art, education, storytelling, and communal remembrance.
Across generations, remembrance has traveled many paths—through family stories, treasured objects, photographs, songs, recipes, rituals, altars and ofrendas. These pathways guide us toward a deeper understanding of who we are and where we come from. They remind us that memory is not fixed in the past but continues to shape our lives in the present.

Calendar/Important Dates:
- Friday, September 11: Completed entry forms due at PVA. (PVA must receive the entry form no later than September 11)
- Monday, September 14: Confirmation of participation and Loan Agreement link send
- Monday, September 21: Loan Agreement due to PVA signed/submitted
- Tuesday, October 27: Exhibit opens
- Sunday, November 1: Opening Reception 1:00pm – 3:00pm
- Saturday, December 7: De-install and pick up altars from 4:00pm – 6:00pm
- Monday, December 8: De-install and pick up altars by appointment only

Mi Casa es Tu Casa: Paths of Remembrance/ Caminos de Recuerdo offers two ways to participate:
Community Altars / Ofrendas & Installations
Families, schools, organizations, community groups, and other groups of two or more participants are invited to create a community altar (ofrenda). Altar spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.
Juried 2-D & 3-D Artwork
Individual artists are invited to submit original 2-D and 3-D artwork for consideration in the juried exhibition.
