Sculpture IS: In the Garden 2026 marks the twentieth annual outdoor sculpture exhibition proudly presented by Pajaro Valley Arts in partnership with Jardines y Viveros de Sierra Azul. Over the past two decades, the exhibition has evolved into one of the Central Coast’s most celebrated showcases for contemporary sculpture, bringing together artists, community members, and visitors in a setting where art and landscape exist in dialogue. Over the years, Sculpture IS: In the Garden has been shaped by numerous curators, jurors, volunteers, and PVA Staff members, while showcasing the work of hundreds of California artists.

Throughout its history, Jeff and Lisa Rosendale have continued to open their extraordinary gardens to the community, pausing only once to allow the landscape itself time for renewal.

This year’s exhibition, curated and juried by Susana Arias, Hedwig Heerschop, Jamie Abbott, and Jeff Rosendale, reflects the same spirit of experimentation, discovery, and engagement that defined the first exhibition twenty years ago. Together, they have assembled a dynamic collection of works that invite visitors to encounter sculpture not only as object, but as movement, environment, conversation, and experience.
