Exhibit Dates: June 1 – October 31, 2023
Opening Reception: Thursday, June 8, 2023 – 5:00pm -7:00pm
Curators: Susana Arias, Hedwig Heerschop & Jeff RosendaleWe invite your participation in the 17th annual Pajaro Valley Arts (PVA) sculpture exhibition, taking place in the beautiful two-acre Sierra Azul Nursery demonstration gardens, located at 2660 East Lake Avenue, Watsonville, California. We have enjoyed sixteen critically and financially successful exhibits, and look forward to including your sculpture in our 17th exhibit.
Pieces submitted must be weatherproof (to be insured), and should be of a scale suitable for outdoor display. Our summer coastal weather includes sunshine, fog, wind and rain. Pieces intended for display on pedestals taller than 18” may not be selected. We have limited access to electricity for the installation and display of sculpture. Upright ceramic sculpture will need to be able to be internally secured, likely with a rod inside that can be set into the soil or a pedestal. Sculpture larger than 30” is encouraged. Pieces with bold negative and positive elements and pieces 5 to 6 feet tall show best in the garden.
ELIGIBILITY
All visual artists currently residing in California working in three-dimensional media suitable for display outdoors are eligible to enter.

Do you want to curate an exhibition?
PVA exhibitions must include at least 5 individual artists, and have included as many as 65 artists. Submissions are chosen for excellence, uniqueness and relevance to our mission of bringing the community together through art. The gallery schedule is often established 2 years in advance. However, proposals are reviewed at any time. The Gallery Committee considers submitted proposals at its monthly meetings. Curators of accepted shows are expected to attend Gallery Committee meetings and will be assigned a mentor(s) to assist them.
Contact the PVA office for guidelines.
